History:

Today is the first day of class presentations. The powerpoint presentations will be approximately 20 minutes long with each student giving at least 5 minutes of contribution to presentation. The videos that were made will be approximately 10 minutes in length, but the presentation of the video will consist of students explaining their methods, sources, likes and dislikes of making a video before showing the class their video which should be on youtube by the time of their presentation.

- Use text book for speech guidelines - techniques

APPLICATION
- How many have given a speech before? How many have been in plays/musicals? What would it feel like to sell your cause to the people to start a revolution? What tactics could you use to convince people to come to your side? Did our founding father do that in the Bill of Rights or the Constiution? If so, what did they use? If not, should they have used something? What would've changed?

ACTIVITY
- Have students act out their Constitution infront of the class. Record this on a digital camera and make copies for the class to hand out on Friday.
- Have them try to sell their ideas to the class and 'win' them over to their side. How many countries are left? How do you compromise? What would you combine and what could you not compromise on?

HOMEWORK
- Have students do research on their freedom of speech - Limits, or lack there of; incidents; anything that they find interesting. MAKE SURE they bring it to class tommorrow
